Trump Pushes Plan to 'Clean Out' Gaza Moving Population to Jordan and Egypt

Donald Trump called for Israel to "clean out" the Gaza Strip and for Jordan and Egypt to take in the over one million people that live there, in comments to reporters on Saturday. Hamas, the Palestinian Authority, and the governments of both Jordan and Egypt have already rejected the idea.

"You're talking about probably a million and a half people, and we just clean out that whole thing," Trump told reporters on board Air Force One. "You know, it's over the centuries that said, many, many conflicts that right. And I don't know, it's something has to happen."

"It's literally a demolition site right now," Trump continued.

Trump's plan to move all Gazans out is in line with a far-right extremist view in Israel that Palestinians should be fully removed from the land, rather than examine a two-state solution.
