Abu Dhabi’s ‘hydrogen oases’ to promote sustainability

Abu Dhabi is working to create hydrogen oases, a hub for hydrogen-related activities, and clean electricity parks to attract global investment in the emirate.

The initiatives are part of a new policy framework launched by the Supreme Council for Financial and Economic Affairs for low-carbon hydrogen in the emirate, state-run WAM news agency reported.

The policy will enable cooperation between the hydrogen, natural gas, and electricity sectors by providing the necessary flexibility for industry players, as well as setting technical standards for safety and consumer protection.
