After weeks of talks and the threat of a possible strike ahead of the summer season, Hershey Entertainment& Resorts said late Thursday that the Chocolate Workers union will vote on a tentative labor agreement.

The company issued a statement announcing a tentative agreement had been reached with Local 464 this week.

“Our properties remain fully operational and ready to welcome guests this weekend,” the statement said. “Our focus remains on providing an outstanding experience for our guests while supporting our employees and the long-term strength of our organization.”

Local 464 represents 4,000 workers, including those at Hersheypark, which opened for the summer season on May 21.
