Economists polled by The Wall Street Journal put the probability of a recession in the next 12 months at 61%, little changed from the last quarterly survey.

(14,226 posts)It will be some time before traditional economic indicators adapt to the 21st century's economy. The WSJ editorial board is really cheerleading for there to be a recession for political reasons, of course. Nevertheless, any indicator or opinion that predicts "the probability of a recession" despite low unemployment is nonsense.
