Would there be mass outrage if The Onion posted a story & pic like this- with the genders reversed?

Let's say a male internet news mogul, standing on a stage in front of a semi-naked female body assembled from the apparently chopped up parts of many different women, chained at the arms?

Oh my God- the Sociology Grad Student Theses almost write themselves; "Objectification Theory In Action- Reassembled Female Body Parts as sick "humor" and the male gaze internet pornification of society"

As it is, I haven't really been paying attention to how HuffPo has reorganized itself, so I admit I don't totally get the joke. But there it is.

There's already plenty of outrage when Huffpo itself posts stories with female body parts Major Nikon Feb 2013 #1

I don't see how a fake Huffpo story with female body parts would be any different.

Specifically, "Would there be mass outrage" and "genders."

I haven't been following HuffPo either, so I am with you there.

so this kind of barbarism is perfectly acceptable.
*shrugs* welcome to the 21st century I suppose.
I'm seriously considering giving up on DU.

I'm getting so tired of the feeling I get around here that men have no value.
i'm sick of the strangle hold the rad-fem's have on any kind of speaking out.

really whats the point of staying anymore?
