And the award for Best Hide this month goes to...

Warren DeMontague!!! * cheers, clapping *

Now now, everyone just settle for a minute, there's more.

After much consideration by the judges, his hide is considered meritorious for the following reasons!

1. He got a post hidden in Meta!
2. He managed to invoke teh naem in the post!
3. He did it on a thread started in May of this year which had long since dropped off the front page!

...for an aggregate difficulty level of 4.2.

Congratulations, Warren.

SPEECH! SPEECH!

but that result surprised me.

Here's the link to the meta thread:

I mean, look- I'm not an idiot; I know that putting a message, even ironically, in a post challenging a jury to hide it, is sort of like waving a steak in front of the tiger cage.

But, still.

Which inspired the 2nd post.

Thanks, to BTA, for bringing it to my attention.

I'm not kidding, I honestly think just about every post I make on DU these days, gets alerted on. So probably my batting average is fairly good. But be warned, folks, just by having a conversation with me you may be getting set up for a similar situation.

I was just speculating that if one wanted to really embarrass themselves, they might choose to codify their whining complaint in a signature so that it would be a shrine to their adolescent resentment.

Still, at my age, I think I look pretty good.
