Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumI'm concerned
Seems several posters are complaining that Hillary Clinton 's choices for VP are "boring" or unexciting. Please folks, we are looking for competency, not someone that will makes hearts a flutter. Let her pick someone who can assume the Office, if necessary. This is not a popularity contest, it's the choosing of the leader of the free world!

I want people that can do the job. That's exciting for me! The exciting thing is getting a government that runs & works as it should.

(3,284 posts)I don't want a drama-filled candidate who constantly says controversial things. Are we selecting a president or a reality show cast member?

(60,074 posts)It is very easy for us to forget that the country we live in is terrified of and offended by women with power. That is true for Democrats as well as Republicans. And it is true for people who will SWEAR that it is not true of them.
A white guy to backstop her will make some voters feel better, consciously or unconsciously.
It's gross, but its reality.
Personally, I want Warren.

We need exciting to help us win the election, we need competent so the country will be in good hands. Its pretty simple, I don't understand all the debate over this.

(4,532 posts)Not all of the American voting public agrees with you. Hillary is not going to win this election just by being Hillary.

(6,444 posts)She is not a special kinda case that needs a very astounding VP running mate to save the day!
HRC is brilliant, and qualified and outstanding all by her lonesome self!

(30,058 posts)realizes the need to have someone in this positon to be able assume the positon, she will make a good selection, I am very willing to allow Hillary to make this very important decision, she is the one I am voting and I know she will make a fine president who can also make a fine decision on her VP.

(12,448 posts)I'm sure Hillary will pick someone who can step into the presidency if needed. I trust her to push past the din and choose a good VP. If he or she is also "exciting," fine.
