if you're going to be glad-handling a laptop, is it better to have a SSD than a regular hard drive

or does it matter (considering that SSDs are much more expensive) ?

1. SSDs are the way to go unless you need a great deal of disk space on your laptop.

SSDs are much faster, generate less heat, use less power and are more shock resistant.

having a dual HD system is nice - put the OS on the SSD and the big data files on the spinning metal.

a lot of times they may be gaming laptops, but I've definitely seen others out there with that feature too: e.g.

An SSD is really nice, it basically just takes a few seconds to do a hard boot, about as fast as waking up from sleep for a computer with a traditional hard drive.

The price was nearly the same, and there's no comparison with performance & reliability.
