Firefox no longer "protects" my IOS.

I just got a pop-up notification from my Fiefox that it no longer "protects" my current IOS X 10.5.8. Is this something I should be concerned about? I don't feel like buying a new imac to accommodate a web browser. Is there a browser that is compatable and just as effective?

You can still get Snow Lepoard if you don't want to go directly to Mountain Lion.

Your Mac must be one of the following models: iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)...

If you’re running OS X Leopard and would like to upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion, first you’ll need to upgrade to OS X Snow Leopard. You can purchase OS X Snow Leopard for $19.99 by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753).
