Need advice on a new laptop

My HP Envy 360(?) may be nearing the end of its life & I'd like to get a new laptop before the current one dies on me. Currently, it seems to be working fine, but it must be getting close to 10 years old & occasionally makes an odd noise when it's booting up (every thing is backed up) and, a hinge on the cover broke so I can't close the it anymore.

I've been happy with this one. I mostly use it for things like paying bills and a little surfing. Any suggestions on would be a good equivalent? (One thing, I do want one with a 10 keypad).

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

1. Wow, 10 years is amazing. I use a chromebook.

Love it. Small but not too small. Lightweight. Has enough storage for my needs which aren't a lot. Watch Youtube on it a lot. Affordable. Regular updates. About 3 years old. Doubt it will last for 10 years, but that's ok.

Social stuff. You can buy a decent HP/Lenovo 17" for < $400. It will be lightyears better than your 10YO PC.

I'd add some speakers to override the laptop speaker,

I just hate shopping for & setting up a new one!

My question is, is price always an indication of quality?

... reviews and their prices are very reasonable. I've had excellent luck with HP, I've had one HP I bought used that lasted 10 years.

The one I have now is at least six years old. I buy as the new models come out. I also use a good virus protection and keep updating as the updates come in. I stay away from "free games", use ad blockers, deny all cookies, never open mail from unknowns (I always check their addresses).

13. Capital letters and bombast are serious red flags for me. Click bait is on the wrong side of the moat.
