A tip for playing streaming video in the MS Edge browser

Last edited Tue Nov 2, 2021, 12:45 AM - Edit history (1)

In order to get equivalent playback to Chrome change the following 2 settings:

Turn off optional diagnostics collection

Turn off smart screen for edge.

Enjoy.

The symptoms are dropped video frames, jumpy playback.

Edited, update. Problem still ocurring. I think Paramount is sabotaging Edge. Thats my theory.

Nothing beats Chrome for smooth video.

I use Chrome for nothing else.

I use Firefox for browsing the web.
