HP printer went dark

My new HP printer is just outside the return window on amazon. I haven't even used a full cartridge of ink yet.

Last night I printed three copies of the first page of a fifteen page document. Zip. Done.

And then the thing went black. No power. I checked the cords. The surge protector.

Nothing.

Any ideas?

1. Depending upon when you bought it Amazon does extend the return window in Nov and Dec into Jan...

If all else fails and it’s a high-dollar printer (HPs are generally overpriced so I wouldn’t be surprised), there are lots of decent companies that can repair it.

$160.

But $160 for a total printed pages barely using more than one ink cartridge PLUS the aggravation of a failed machine is a real pain in the neck.

I don't print often, but just have this one project that is requiring the filling in of multiple questionnaires and is time sensitive.
