(18,219 posts)I knew some of these things were possible, but it never occurred to me to do it with scraps. I am going to have to try this. Well, I'll try Level 1, and probably some Level 2. I want to see this work!

(22,845 posts)I have one sitting in a bowl with garlic bulbs. Took a close look the other day, and saw that it's put out a 5-inch-long shoot. If I bury it on one of the vegetable beds, there's a good chance I will harvest at least half a dozen sweet potatoes in October.

water. just like celery.
