Out of all the MD Democratic US House Members that could have ran for the US Senate in 2024,

David Trone is the only one that is running.
I am wondering why John Sarbanes and Glenn Ivey haven’t been pressured by Steny Hoyer and Kweisi Mfume into running before they endorsed Angela Alsobrooks. Glenn Ivey has more experience than Angela Alsobrooks. Glenn Ivey is not the only US House Member to run for the US Senate during their first term in the US House.

Angela Alsobrooks is the most popular political figure in MD. John Sarbanes-a nine term US House member and the son of MD’s longest former US Senator hasn’t been encouraged to run for the US Senate.
