The Riverton teen girl who died in a stolen-car rollover last month was on methamphetamine and alcohol, according to a coroner’s docket.
Sassite Underwood was 17 when a stolen BMW sedan ejected her during a single-vehicle rollover June 14. The car veered off Valley View Road near Riverton’s airport and tumbled downhill, according to a Riverton Police Department statement at the time.
The police referred Cowboy State Daily to the Fremont County Attorney's Office, to learn who was driving the car and if anyone was charged in connection with the theft.
“Several other people” were in the car and were hurt in the crash, police said in the June statement. ... Fremont County Attorney Patrick LeBrun declined to comment on possible charges in the case. ... Underwood was pronounced dead at the scene.
