Related: About this forumIf we don't want a MAGA governor we need to vote for someone who can be elected statewide.
I think that means one of the two who have been Lt. Governor.
God help us if we get Tiffany.

located between Milwaukee and Madison. I get stonewalled when I point that out. The force is strong in these ones.
The unopposed Repug, Tom Tiffany, is running folksy, slack jawed yokel ads aimed at the Repug base where he talks in a Yooper accent about milking cows as if it were a qualification for governing. He's hard core MAGAt and is a member of the Freedom Caucus.
One of the Democratic candidates, Kelda Roys, has a stellar liberal progressive track record but the righties would do to her what they did to Kamala.
From an electability perspective, my money is on Sara Rodriguez or Joel Brennen.

(33,115 posts)Guessing again, is this a progressive can't win in the state, we need a moderate?
Was the following ever said by higher up Democrats - We need to run a progressive in this state/district because a moderate can't win?

(841 posts)They seem to be taking a hands off approach in the primary phase.
My experience is that Wisconsin is extremely polarized with few truly independent voters. Those few are the ones we need in the general election in November. That must be taken into account in the primary.

(8,420 posts)Will be interesting. There's a forum of gubernatorial candidates next Saturday in northern Wisconsin; I'll be there.
Our county Dems are active. Waiting to see how Devin Remiker does as head of WisDems.

(841 posts)I don't see it, but I can feel it. MAGAts hide it and deny it when confronted but it's in their DNA.
Please give a shout out after the forum.
