It's time to file for the April 7, 2026 election

Are you interested in serving your community by running for office? If so, you can declare your candidacy and turn in nomination papers for the April 2026 election until 5 p.m. Jan. 6 at the municipality in which you wish to run.

Incumbents who are not seeking reelection must file non-candidacy papers by 5 p.m. Dec. 26.

Wisconsin has four regularly scheduled elections in 2026 — two in spring and two in fall.
