WISCOURT: Crawford (D) announces $2.8M raised, topping Schimel's (R) $2.2M haul

Liberal Supreme Court candidate Susan Crawford has now pulled in $2.8 million since May, topping the $2.2 million that conservative rival Brad Schimel says he has raised since launching his bid in late 2023.

Crawford, a Dane County Circuit Court judge, reported in July that she had raised $461,274 in the three weeks after launching her bid and had $433,362 in the bank.

Her campaign said Wednesday she raised $2.4 million between July 1 and Dec. 31, finishing 2024 with $2.1 million in the bank.

Schimel, a Waukesha County Circuit Court judge and former GOP AG, earlier announced that he had raised $1.5 million over the past six months, finishing last year with $1.8 million cash on hand. Since launching his bid in November 2023, he’s now raised $2.2 million.

Both campaigns touted their fundraising support, with Crawford’s saying she’s received donations from donors in 71 of the state’s 72 counties and more than 8,000 contributions from 6,000 individual donors. Schimel said he has received contributions from donors in 70 of the state’s counties, with 98% of his contributors from Wisconsin.
