I mean, losing 5 games in a row?
With three interceptions on Sunday?

I say, put him on the Bench second string.

(189,215 posts)Yes theyve won 13 games several years in a row but it was too dependent on one guy. All his weapons left but I sense that some of that was because of him.

(5,197 posts)Had they approached the right QB needy team (Colts, Texans, Falcons), they could have gotten at least a 1 and a 3 for him. Based on his play this season and the huge contract he signed, Packers would have to be willing to either carry his cap number or give him up for lower picks (talking day 3 draft picks). I doubt Rodgers would be willing to go to a rebuilding team at this point in his career.

(19,802 posts)I don't know what options the Packers have for getting rid of him, but I bet they are all expensive.
If they keep losing, its probable that Rodgers will announce his retirement. No other team is going to pick up a QB who is clearly past his prime and is also a diva.
That said, there are a lot of things dogging the Packers - inexperience and injuries for two. Rodgers is part of the problem, but despite the interceptions I don't think his skill level is declining. Once you start losing and keep losing the psychological burden gets heavier and heavier.
I've never had much confidence in Jordan Love. I hope I'm wrong about that.

(5,213 posts)the will still have a LOAD of dead money against the cap because of Rodgers. He isn't going anywhere unless he retires.

(5,213 posts)You think THAT'S going to be better? You're team's just not good this year. You've been spoiled for the last 3 decades. It wasn't going to last forever. Frankly, if I could curse people, I would curse the Packers to have a carousel of horrible QBs for the next 20 years.
Is it Rodgers fault that you have horrible receivers? Kind of. He could have not taken all the money. But, let's not let the coaching staff off the hook for a horrible game plan and the front office for using the money they didn't spend to keep Adams on a handful of really shitty receivers instead of a couple/one really good one.

(23,555 posts)They've been spoiled. Now they are getting a taste of the future and it's going to be like for them. Think of the pre-Favre years because that's what it will be like.
