Kent City Hall campus to remain closed until Tuesday; police lobby reopens

Authorities opened the Kent Police Department (KPD) lobby, but decided to keep buildings on the Kent City Hall campus closed until Tuesday following a bomb threat.
The City of Kent stated that the facilities will open Tuesday at 8 a.m. and resume normal operations.
Law enforcement safely removed a suspected military-grade undetonated explosive that was brought to the campus, the Kent Police Department (KPD) reported Monday afternoon.
A bomb squad was sent to the scene.
