Prince William cancels school for April 21 redistricting election

Mark your calendars, parents. Prince William County schools and Manassas City schools will not be session on Tuesday, April 21.

The Prince William County School Board voted unanimously Wednesday night to cancel school on April 21 for the statewide special election.

City of Manassas schools had already taken that step and will have a teacher workday on April 21, according to the school division website.

The election is being held to let voters decide whether to amend the state constitution to allow a rare, mid-decade redistricting.
