Truck fire and road collapse close I-95 I-95 is closed

https://6abc.com/philadelphia-collapse-i95-overpass-bridge-tacony-pa/13369981/

Drivers traveling on I-95 captured the intense flames and heavy smoke before multiple lanes of the highway collapsed on Sunday in Philadelphia.

The fire broke out around 6 a.m. underneath I-95 near the Cottman Avenue exit in the Tacony section of the city.

Sources say the blaze was caused by a tanker truck carrying thousands of gallons of 87 octane gasoline.

Why did the truck ignite below I-95? Now?

Can you imagine the desperation and incompetence that would still be in charge if the last election had turned out differently? Not only would they be fumbling this incident, but there’d probably be nothing in the budget for repairs and improvements.

Anyway, I hope DOT is able to find the best workarounds possible to keep this vital transportation corridor open.

I think the date and time (Sunday, 6AM) saved many lives. They don't know if the body is the driver's.
