The Democratic party needs to make a priority

The legalization of Cannabis and Hemp in this state.

This would create jobs and revitalize agriculture.

Increase tax revenue and close the giant budget hole.

Lower jail and prison populations and reduce cost.

Reduce cost of policing and redirecting energy to real crime.

Free up the court system and reduce cost.

Guarantee the State Constitution Section II-2 Inherent rights: All persons have the inherent right to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and the enjoyment of the gains of their own industry.

The opportunity is now. We know the state needs the money. The evidence is clear there is no danger from this plant. But it can offer so much! Legalize it!

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
