Cuyahoga Board of Elections reports more than 6,000 ballots with more expected Tuesday

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Early voting turnout in Cuyahoga County has already surpassed the past two similar elections, according to the county board of elections.

“We estimated about 6,000 people tops but we’ve already exceeded that and it’s only Friday,” said Mike West with the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

West said the board is expecting most voters on Tuesday. He said voters should prepare their materials now.

“Going online or calling on the phone to confirm your voting location and your registration status. And while you’re there you can check the ID requirements,” West said.
