Wisotsky wins massive victory in Englewood council primary

ncumbent Lisa Wisotsky won the Democratic nomination for the Ward 2 city council seat in Englewood, defeating former Board of Education member Suzanne Mullings 933- 234 votes, an 80%-20% landslide.

She is a first-term councilwoman and served as council president in 2025.

Englewood is a Democratic stronghold. Mikie Sherrill won the city by nearly 40 points last year.

No Republicans filed to run against Wisotsky in the general election. The GOP has not won an Englewood local election in decades.
