N.J. lawmaker wants to create domestic violence offender registry

TRENTON — New Jersey residents who have abused their spouses and partners would be just as easy to look up as sex offenders under a bill about to be introduced by a state lawmaker.
Assemblyman Reed Gusciora (D-Mercer) wants to create a publicly accessible registry of those found to have committed domestic violence.
“It’s pretty dangerous to date a repeat offender and often times the person isn’t aware of the history,” Gusciora said. “You have instances where the person is very nice, and they’re dating, and when they’re living together that’s when the violence would happen. At least this would give some kind of warning if the person has a history of violence.”
Gusciora, who first mentioned the idea to New Jersey 101.5 FM, said he plans to introduce the legislation soon. The registry would be similar to the one that was established by Megan’s Law for sex offenders.

My bunny boiler had a history of stalking women and violence - I would have run after the first date. I figured out he was fucking nuts after the third date - but I still had to move 450 miles away to get relief. Unfortunately - the Don't Date Him Girl site was taken down or I would have publicly outed him for the psychotic freak he was.
It's different from where I sit. 
They only change their victims. A scarlet letter of V for Violent - nope. But a place for men and women to note- Okay this one has broken the windows, slashed the tires, made 100 calls in two hours before . .. That is golden.
I always think of my friend P who dated the Federal Marshall that went off the rails for the 4th time. He was the 4th victim. When an ADA gets his bathroom window shot out by a violent sociopath and nothing can be done - that's a problem.
Do you know - I moved down here in January 2006 and the RO expired November 13, 2008 and that very day - bunny boiler called me ten times. 
And yes - I have zero empathy because he terrorized me. He deserves to be made fun of, derided, poked at, and dismissed as worthless. 
But I will tell my nieces all about the signs to look for with sociopathic men. Maybe my peace comes from being married to a former Italian Marine sharp shooter? 
I know that's not popular these days but all a R.O. Is - is a piece of paper. I had a knife when he smashed in my windows. Now I have something more with someone who won't make mistake. It's hard if you aren't a woman who has experienced it to understand and I forgive you for that.
