Douglas County to mail early voting ballot applications for this spring's election

Douglas County is getting ready to send out early voting applications for the Omaha city elections this spring.

The election commission will mail the 5x7 green, postcard-sized applications starting Jan. 22.

The applications will go to registered voters who signed up to be on the early voting request list.

"Voters should expect to receive their cards by late January," Brian Kruse, Douglas County Election Commissioner, said in a statement. "This card assists my office in processing applications for by-mail ballots more efficiently, and we appreciate voters’ use of the card when possible."
