So far, California smoke is south of us and PNW smoke is north of us but NM has had plenty of smoke from AZ and NM fires in years past.

I sympathize. There have been whole weeks when I couldn't see the mountains 8 miles to the east.

and now the house smells like a wood fire.

bad and his eyes were bothering him. Friends at WorldCon in Spokane said it was VERY bad there.

and they're hazy up here. i know what it's like to have a fire in your backyard and they are in my thoughts.

In S. Dakota tonight after two days in Wisconsin. Before I left CO last Thursday there was a strong smokey smell in the air and it was quite hazy. I have noticed how beautiful the sunsets have been here in the mid-west which means there's a lot of smoke in the atmosphere. Sad.
