CA-AD32: Feb. 10 is the deadline to register to vote for 32nd Assembly District special election

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The 32nd Assembly District special election is about two weeks away and registered voters in Kern and Tulare counties should have their vote-by-mail-ballots by now.

Feb. 10 is the last day to register to cast a ballot in-person in the upcoming special election primary. If you miss this deadline, you can still register, but as a conditional voter. It may just take longer for your ballot to be processed, since your registration must be approved first.

Four candidates are on the ballot: Republicans Stan Ellis and Holli Willibey, Democrat Chris Cruz-Boone and Libertarian William Brown.

If one candidate gets more than 50% of the vote in the primary, they will win the office and no runoff election would be needed.
