As of October 1, 2024, California drivers who are 70 years or older are no longer required to take the written driver's license test when renewing their license. This change is part of a DMV effort to streamline office visits and improve customer service.

So I have to show up while I'm still 69, to renew my license. I wonder if they'll make me take the test?
Knowing my luck, the answer will be yes. 
You just made my day. And the next two years! Because now I don't have to study for the darn test!

I've been "studying" for the written test the last month-- oh well. I did learn some things I didn't know, so it wasn't wasted.
