thanks . and another tool is to have a radio called a police scanner to hear fire traffic. AllaN01Bear Jul 2024 #4

have watch duty installed . will also carry my ham radio with me as it has police and fire freqs in it as well. AllaN01Bear Jul 2024 #8

There is a fantastic app for smartphones called 'WatchDuty" I highly recommend it for folks who live in fire prone areas.

fire spread to 2000 thousand acres over night according to cal fire . see link and map below.
