(52,557 posts)and it is perfect for me!! I hope it stays like this. Once the concrete and roads in the city absorb all the heat there isn't much of a cool-down, not enough to last very long into the daytime anyway. The costs for electricity just about kills me (I am on a very limited income) so if I can save $$$ and use Mother Nature instead of window fans and A/C I am glad, glad, glad.

(52,557 posts)SDG&E rates are through the roof. I know August, Sept., and even Oct have high temps. in this area of CA. Our worst fires were in Oct in 2003 and 2007. Schools were closed for a week each time (a first).
I love May Gray and June Gloom. It is too dry and will be for 6 more months. We must conserve water, even though the unusually wet winter was a big relief. People need to maintain their conservation and not forget the last 5 years of drought.
