Jon Alterman
Former State Department Official / Former Member, Chief of Naval Operations Executive Panel
President Donald Trump says the Iranian president is asking for a ceasefire and claims the nuclear threat from Tehran has been dealt with. Trump is also telling allies that it's up to them to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting to a British newspaper that he is considering leaving NATO. Former State Department official Jon Alterman joins the show from Washington, D.C. to discuss what happens next.

Dmytro Kuleba
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister / Senior Fellow, Harvard University Belfer Center
There are no real winners in war. Yet Russia is benefiting from the escalating conflict in Iran, what with a temporary suspension of oil sanctions, and Ukraine's President Zelensky under international pressure not to attack Russia's energy infrastructure. This week marks four years since the massacre at Bucha, where Russia's war crimes were revealed to the world. Dmytro Kuleba was Ukraine's Foreign Minister at that time. He joins the show from Kyiv.

Brian Goldstone
Author, “There Is No Place for Us”
Economic pain at home and abroad from the war in Iran is placing millions of Americans at risk of financial ruin, following years of housing scarcity and employment volatility. Brian Goldstone, in his new book "There Is No Place for Us," reports on the changing face of homelessness in America by following five working families in Atlanta. The author joins the show to discuss.

Hoda Sobhani
Director, “That Night”
Civilians inside Iran are in an impossible position, caught between American and Israeli bombs and their own brutal regime. For Iran's political prisoners, the situation is even worse. Supports of Nobel laureate Narges Mohammadi say she is believed to have suffered a heart attack in Zanjan Prison and is being denied medical care. A recent short animated documentary drives home the vulnerability of these prisoners. Hoda Sobhani directed the documentary and joins the show to discuss it.
