Is this the correct forum to ask

About over the air television reception * in a specific area ? *

NC RTP area

I am unable to get UNC tv over the air all of the sudden .
Im pretty sure it was fine last night ( Friday) but as of today I just have a black screen . I have rescanned and no difference .
2 tvs on 2 different OTA antennas , same results . I have contacted UNC tv via email but chances are I won’t hear back until Monday
Just curious if any one in the * same area * is seeing the same . I’d ask around but most everyone I know is on cable/streaming etc

Thanks

Yes, not the same as bad reception. Just a black screen. 2MuchNoise Saturday #9

Yesterday, I think, that reported that the state has detached from PBS meaning they will no longer air PBS at all. I think it may have been your state.

I don't have a citation but I did see it on DU. I am fighting a head cold so I'm not on top of much right now, but you might do some kind of search on that and find your answer.

I think my issue was a broadcasting fluke … is funny that I sent them an email and then within 1 hour it resolved

For the correction, I couldn't remember exactly which state it was.

Perhaps someone forgot to push a button ar click on verification on the programming computer and when you sent the email they were alerted to the problem. I used to have to send email to the NPR station in Idaho several times a year because someone didn't double check before leaving the programming site.

When I was in broadcasting, in college, I used to close the place down and had to make sure the program schedule automation was turned on before I left or I would get a call around 5am asking where the news was. I never got one of those calls but I know the college up the road had a regular issue with that.

Is that while there was just a black screen , the programming guide with my tv said the shows that were being broadcasted , and the signal strength option on one of my tvs said the signal was strong … just no picture …

Yeh im taking credit with my email
😬

Have had lousy reception due to weather , but not a total blackout

I’ll just email again if it happens …
