as well as Colbert. But they show too many videos of trump, and talk too much about him (what about just one trump-free monolog a week?), and we really are sick of seeing him and hearing him/about him. I like Kimmel, though. I think I would like him as a person. Not so much Colbert.

He is always the “one ups man” a lot of times, his guests will say something and HE ALWAYS does the one up it to them. And sorry don’t know how else to say it, he lots of times does the oh, yah, I’ve done this or he sings, or recites a phrase, or a line from a play, a movie, IT’s ALWAYS ABOUT HIM, not the guest……

Also, comparing the two, Kimmel’s Instagram account is always showing him at some charity event, either attending and volunteering at an existing one, or one that he himself has started. He is out there helping people. Colbert? He has a net worth of $75 million. Granted, I do not know what he does from home, but what we see is that he creates something—ice cream flavor, his staff writes a small book, etc.—and peddles it during his show. And the money YOU spend on it gets donated to a worthy cause. So he is basically donating our money. I also get tired of him playing the part of an average American when he is so rich. Poor Steve.

16. Colbert Report

I tend to agree with this.

It's interesting looking back at the Colbert Report. He seemed much more at ease and quick witted playing the role of a TV host than he does now as an actual host.

Although my guess is that most if not all of the Colbert Report was scripted

between Colbert and Kimmel, although lately I've been favoring Colbert. His wit is a little more acerbic and I like his post monologue stuff, particularly "meanwhile".

8. Colbert, will just check who his guests are, and then decide if I watch.....

He does not know how to interview…..I always hate when a guest is talking, and Stephen will cut in and always say oh when I did,……blah, blah, blah. He’s the worst interviewer….he’s always does the one upmanship……ya know the guest will say something, and then Stephen will cut in and say oh ya I did this or that and it’s always about him, NOT THE GUEST.

Just the monologue and the after bit. Then I go to bed. Already up past my bedtime.

11. "Stephen will cut in" I hate that with any conversation. I realize that sometimes there is a long winded interview

and news people have to cut it short. I have acquaintances that routinely do this. When I call them on it they don't even realize they are doing it. It's just plain rude. I sometimes chalk it up to their old age. Maybe they will not remember the thought for a minute or two and want to get it out before they forget the thought. A pet peeve of mine..It's still rude..
