Are drone shots allowed in the photo contests?

I think that photos taken by drone are perfectly acceptable. The photo is what counts, not the way it was captured. CaliforniaPeggy Sunday #3

I see no reason why they shouldnt be included. A drone is just another piece of gear that we can use to get great shots. I thought very seriously about getting one myself, but I'm too old and out of shape to go chasing it when it crashes.

I'm running this month's contest, and I say go for it.

taken in Africa of animals with extremely long shadows, just about no other way to do it! A camera is a camera either crawling around on the ground or soaring up high! My nephew bought me a very nice one, but here in urban land, even the parks are off limits so I have never used it.
