(157,377 posts)It's the Chaupain Artisan bakery. They have several outlets here in SoCal, which I have never seen. But they come every week to our local farmer's market.

Glad to see you're out & about! 🏃♀️

(157,377 posts)Some of them are truly purple! And some are green. This market is well known for crops that you don't see in the "standard" grocery stores.
It's always great to be there, especially when I get a great parking place out on the street! It's been very rare this year. The walk is much shorter and easier from there.

(30,364 posts)I like to put a mug of milk in the freezer until it gets a crust of ice of the surface of the milk - then it is delightfully extra cold for washing down a bite of a scrumptious confection.

(157,377 posts)That sounds truly yummy!

This image features a white lily flower with distinct, dark-colored stamens prominently displayed in the center.
White lilies such as this are often symbolically associated with purity, renewal, and rebirth.
I like symbolism.
Thanks again Peggy!
CaliforniaPeggy
(157,377 posts)I too like symbolism.
You're welcome!

(12,859 posts)I have been living with type 2 diabetes for 36 years. Not eating sweets is the one place I have very good will power. My late wife loved sweets and as I loved her, I would look of goodies for her.
I really enjoy your pictures especially the still lifes in the markets. Seeing them again after your recent surgery makes me happy that you are able to do what you had been. I hope that made some kind of sense.

(135,777 posts)You realize, of course, that I am now needing to make a side trip to my favourite patisserie in the morning. . . .profiteroles, eclairs, croissants, operas.. . sighhhhhh. And, fortunately, there is a wonderful flower shop next door. The peppers, alas, will not be available for at least a month, or six weeks (provided no hail, and no more fires!!! ).
Such joyous beauty on this full moon day.
CaliforniaPeggy
(157,377 posts)I hadn't realized that these pastries had such an effect on you. But it's all good!
Enjoy your pastries from your favorite patisserie! And the flowers from the wonderful flower shop!
Bringing joyous beauty is my goal! Thank you for telling me of my success.

(1,833 posts)Your photos are always so full of such
gorgeous color! The pastries looked
yummy, but this time the purple green
beans caught my eye. Never saw beans
that color. Lovely!

(157,377 posts)I hear you about the purple green beans! I was astonished at the color. I had to get that photo!

(41,605 posts)Everything looks so cool and fresh. Maybe because we are melting in 97 degree heat today. I can just smell the aroma of the flowers!
CaliforniaPeggy
(157,377 posts)Whew! You're really in a heat wave, and so early too.
Our vendors know how to draw people in so they'll buy.
Try to stay cool!
