Is it possible to tell the sunrises from the sunsets just by looking at the photos? And if so, how?

Sunrises typically will show a tree line for a horizon. Sunsets show a horizon mostly flat, but
rising just a little bit in places and no trees visible. And even those parameters can be hard to
pin down.

continues to drift south.

--- that is not a criticism of the photographs, which are spectacular, as usual.

Just once, with this photo, have I taken a picture with wildfire smoke and ash in the air.

In August 2022 a sun was setting behind a smoke/ash cloud and I photographed it. Normally I prefer not to take pictures when there is fire smoke and ash in the atmosphere because of the cause of the smoke. Which is unnatural.

This particular incidence was so unusual it was cause for a photo.

It looks like an artist just had a ball putting pink, purple, orange, and yellow on a white canvas - for us to emmensly enjoy.

the last one but it is phenomenal. I'm adding that to the list of favorites. The one with the horses is so peaceful - I love it. Thank you!
