conjunction of the moon and mars

the conjunction/occultation of mars by the moon,combined with a full moon and mars at opposition.
mars disappeared behind the moon (what an occultation is)

mars is right at the bottom of he moon . a very small sphere. mars is at the biggest and brightest it wlll get this year.

I'm not sure I would have been able to find it otherwise.

As teeny as it is, though, I can see the reddish color. Very cool.
