That's a slivery sliver if there ever was one! Too cloudy here.

You might catch the aurora, there was a major flare late this afternoon. I'm sure the clouds will be glowing here.

It was so slivery that I had trouble catching it!

We're too far south to see the aurora, damn it. I would love to see that!

I'm really glad you like my photo! It just worked out that today is January 1st; I hadn't planned to take any photos today.

But I had time, and the moon was right there, waiting for me!

The very slender shape made it very challenging to capture; I was thrilled that this one exposure worked out.

Unfortunately it's too overcast here, a few miles south of the Wisconsin state line. Amazing pic.

This stage is very hard to catch, unless you have a telescope, which I don't!

But I persisted and got there. Glad you enjoyed it!
