Tower of Power is an American R&B and funk band and horn section, originating in Oakland, California, that has been performing since 1968.
The band has had a number of lead vocalists, the best-known being Lenny Williams, who fronted the band between early 1973 and late 1974, the period of their greatest commercial success. They have had 8 songs on the Billboard Hot 100; their highest-charting songs include "You're Still a Young Man", "So Very Hard to Go", "What Is Hip?", and "Don't Change Horses (in the Middle of a Stream)"...

We even went and seen 'em (that's how my dad would have said it
) in the 1990's at Alameda County Fair.
They'll always remind me of my beloved old man, who I attended many a concert with when he was walking around

I listened to them on the radio, had an album too. What a wonderful era for music. Thanks for posting.
Mom was an artist and a beautiful person. During WW2 when dad was in Europe she went to NYC to live and work and then out west to San Francisco. Both places were a good experience for her. Fortunately she passed on her love of culture and travel to us.
