Mr. Scorpio, I hate to be the one to say this, but I think you might have been outdone.

First of all, happy new year.

Here's what I've got running on the hi-fi.

I have a ten year old fifth generation Kindle Fire. Against Jeff Bezos' objections, I sideloaded onto it the software that lets me run apps from Google Play. Due to the age of the device, a lot of new apps won't install on it. The current version of Radio Garden won't run on it, although a bootlegged Indian market version of Radio Garden does. One app that does install is Audials Play.

It's like Radio Garden but different. I don't think there's a version written for iOS devices. I haven't noticed it at the Apple App Store.

About two weeks ago, I ran across the Point Blank Radio channel from London.

It shows up on my Indian market version of Radio Garden too.

I'm running the Kindle Fire's output into the AUX input on a sufficiently powerful early '80s Technics receiver and from there to a pair of bookshelf speakers.

For some reason, it is the perfect thing to listen to today.

I apologize for my disloyalty, but please tune in and let me know what you think.

Best wishes for the new year.
