Those eyes are compelling.

You have a completely different approach to how you paint dogs and cats. It’s much more true to life than the charming depictions of buildings and lans apes. I like this because you aren’t trying to make animals ‘cute’. I admire that.

I do have some cute animals, though, for my kidlets.

One tells his customers to hang it near the ceiling, out of dogs reach for at least a year, so the dog can't reach it.....

egg tempura completely off by spring when I went to rehang it. I had that thing for twenty years. They left the oil paintings completely alone.

and I picked up the cat and covered most of his left side by the time I put him down. Trying to clean him only spread it out. This kids in the condo next door thought the blue cat sitting in the window was pretty neat. He'd get into the window every morning to watch them leave for school.

I didn't want to use thinners on him so I was reduced to using dry paper towels on him. He's white so he stayed clearly blue for over a month. Fading slowly to baby blue and then white. He didn't seem to mind but the missus was not pleased. I use good paint - lapis in walnut oil so I don't think it hurt him.

I'm jealous. I painted my daughter's Abyssinian and it just looks goofy. Yours is perfect. I especially like the eyes. So lifelike! Great job!

I bet it made him cry. It's has such a wistful beauty that I'm almost crying.

Reminds me of my Siamese who died over 30yrs ago, especially the tall ears.
