So I went to my first storage auction today. Didn't spend a dime.

It was all very strange. Only one locker had potential (in my opinion) and it went about $400 too high. I'm still puzzled about how you determine what to bid at these things. In any case, at this particular auction, the lockers reminded me of the recycling shed at the dump only with a lock on the door. Really, really trashy. Maybe there was something behind all the nasty stained mattresses, but I decided I really didn't care. On a brighter note, one of my favorite sales of the year is tomorrow morning. I always find great stuff cheap and it's a sale I've always thought had potential to produce a really good piece of art. Can't wait!

Now everyone with an old book or piece of china thinks it's valuable and it seems as if every yard sale I hit last weekend was held by those people.
