I've been here since the 1930s when that fucker Hoover was president and everyone was pissed off at him for starting the great depression.

The site was operated at that time by EarlGs' great grandfather.

There was no internet back then, so DUers had to write down their posts longhand on a piece of paper and nail the piece of paper to a tree.

The first DU post was "Did you see what that fucker Hoover did? That son of a bitch started the fucking great depression! Jesus Christ!"

Then someone walked by and wrote "LOL, right?" on the piece of paper. That was the second post on DU.

Then, some troll came by and wrote "Fuck you, libtard commie".

Then, a few days later, someone came by and wrote "How do you like your pizza, troll?"

I'm coming up on 25 years myself. Skittles and I signed up on the same day & at the same time of day!

My goodness, the changes we have see in those years. In 2004 we had the Iraq war then, and dummy Bush, crooked Cheney…….. hmmmmmm….. maybe not so much changed. d
