Anyone have a iphone backup drive that includes an app to organize the photos?

I purchased the Omni photostick and I don't think it works as advertised. The process to backup photos isn't consistent. I basically have to start from the beginning each time to download the entire Iphone records. And worse, I was hoping that everything would automatically be downloaded by the date the photos were taken, but I don't really see any easy way to organize the photo without creating subdirectories and going photo by photo.

Anyone have an easier system? Or usb backup drive?
