I remember a James Herriot story where the dog howled coming out of anesthesia and drove Tristan nuts

All though I will say I liked the old TV series better than the new one. Just because I liked the cast better ,Christopher Timothy as James Herriot, Robert Hardy as the eccentric Siegfried Farnon, and Peter Davison as Tristan Farnon. Although I do like the new Tristan.

I actually visited that old practice site in Thirsk on on my trips to England, lovely area, fun talking to the locals
