Nyt: a lot of US retirees move multiple times, sometimes due to politics

“ Kate Ferriter left New York’s Hudson Valley for Colorado a decade ago, a few years after her husband, Terry Moore, retired. But when their rental costs climbed, Ms. Ferriter and Mr. Moore relocated and bought a home in coastal Florida.

(Mr. Moore is Black; Ms. Ferriter is white.) Eventually, the hostility and climbing expenses led the couple to buy a home in New Mexico, but they struggled to acclimate to the altitude and dry climate.”
