The Girl Can't Help It - a fun B-movie from the early rock days w/Jayne Mansfield

and some other musical acts of the era. One of the first movies of its kind, it has a cheesy plot and lots of good humour. Music features Julie London (Cry Me A River) and Little Richard among others.

Historical note - this flick was hugely influential in the development of a British band that became
the Beatles, as they were quite enamored of the Eddie Cochran song 20 Flight Rock

Jayne looks fine and her acting can be described as good natured. She was a multi talented highly intelligent woman who played the dumb blonde with gusto.

She had an IQ of 163, spoke 5 languages, and was a classically-trained and highly skilled violinist and pianist.

Unfortunately, the times were not conducive for women as talented as she was to show all she possessed. But, daughter, Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order SVU) didn't fall too far from the tree either, but living in much better times to show it.
