Asking for assistance from American Art History majors.

I was looking for Grandma Moses' most famous painting and I came up with Sugaring Off, painted in 1943. I came up with this one:

I'm looking for confirmation because there were other attributions to the painting that I believe were not dated properly. She had several Sugaring Off paintings. Maybe it was the first one that was given the greatest recognition?

There were earlier works than the 1943 version. However, this was the version she wrote down in her book. It was special in that it was reproduced as a full color lithograph, which people could order, which gave it a very broad audience. This audience was made bigger in 1947 when it was chosen as a Hallmark Christmas Card. And further, it was the subject of a 1969 postage stamp.

This same 1943 version was chosen in 1946 as the opening work of a book telling her story in her own words. This work had special significance to Grandma Moses.

And last of all, it's the one that has responded well in auction. It sold for $1.36 million in 2006

And I knew a DUer would come forth to inform us.

Thank you.
